Our services

First City Events is a specialist and sustainable event management company offering expert industry knowledge, using the latest advances to deliver creative conferences, awards ceremonies and events of all sizes to suit your needs.

We provide event management services whilst considering their environmental impact and carbon footprint. By carefully considering the impact of the venues that we recommend, the materials that we use and how we clear up after ourselves, we create events that will engage and inspire your guests. We save costs through organised and streamlined working practices and by working closely with our suppliers to negotiate better deals on catering, transport and waste.

Logistics & organisation

When you are looking to deliver an event we’ll do as much as you need.  You choose what you’d like us to do:  on-line delegate bookings, venue sourcing, event management, full event and budget planning, electronic registration, audio visual and production or just for some advice, we’re here to help.

We work with you – think of First City Events as an extension of your team.  We will:

  • Look after clients’ needs promptly and efficiently, exceeding expectations
  • Maintain an excellent working relationship with suppliers including production companies, caterers, florists, speaker agencies, etc
  • Manage delegate, speaker and VIP travel
  • Have a professional approach at all times
  • Keep a focus on the client, delegate, exhibitor and sponsor experience throughout the event

Venue sourcing & management

We understand the importance of finding the right venue, in the right location, at the right price to support the objectives of your event.  Whether it’s a hotel, conference centre, training centre, unusual venue – we’ve probably been there! – we will work with you to ensure you have the perfect venue to fit the event brief.

We work with our clients to closely manage and stay in control of spend restrictions and budgets. We will work hard throughout the booking process to produce accurate delegate numbers, to drive down venue unit costs and remove client stress of unexpected attenders.

Our ability to negotiate directly with suppliers means we have the capacity to ensure cost savings for your business.

First City Events can manage all aspects of the venue requirements, including:

  • logistics  |  rooming lists         |  food and beverage selections
  • budget    |  space allocation   |  audio visual requirements

Technical

First City Events uses the latest tools available to give high quality service, backed by a continuous investment programme.

We provide access to innovative, bespoke technology and provide technical support and management of on-line booking systems, bespoke event Apps electronic registration and audience response systems to make your event more exciting, memorable and interactive and deliver a better return on your investment.

We work with some of the most experienced audio visual suppliers to manage every aspect of an event from technical equipment, exciting and bespoke set design and build, stage and lighting to film equipment, graphics, event furniture and exhibition boards.

Event marketing

We care about what the message is, how it’s delivered, when it’s delivered and who it needs to be delivered to.  First City Events works with you to develop a marketing strategy using all media to maximise uptake for your event including content for your e-campaigns

Design & print management

We offer creative design, brand design and development, copywriting, and web development, together with a smooth running artwork and proofing process that gives powerful and striking results every time.

We work with experienced printers to enable us to offer clients the best in cost saving solutions and advise the best printing method and stock to help get the most from your budget.

Creative concepts & planning

At First City Events we nurture the small seed of an idea to blossom into a fully developed theme.  We make each event unique – let us help you source the exceptional speaker, discover the best entertainment, write the snappiest script, find the perfect piece of music, and add that certain je ne sais quoi.

Conference theme incorporating a jigsaw puzzle motif – a bespoke puzzle sourced, designed and delivered ready for each delegate to insert their own personal piece at the start of their conference journey

Electronic registration – no need to queue at the registration desk – just let the events team come to you

Like Mary Poppins’ Gladstone bag, our kit-boxes have items for every contingency: cufflinks; sewing kit; polish; torch, phone chargers and VGA adapters to name but a few
